Peter Salzarulo, Jr., has experience providing a wide array of forensic accounting and consulting services to clients with an emphasis on fraud examinations, bankruptcy, solvency, preference and avoidance actions and complex commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Asterion, Pete worked for a regional turnaround and restructuring firm, as a manager at a major regional accounting and consulting firm and in a boutique accounting firm.
Pete has conducted forensic financial analyses and investigations using books of original entry, relevant source documents, financial statements, tax returns and relevant contracts and agreements. He has conducted numerous fraud investigations ranging in scope from employee theft in privately held organizations to high profile Ponzi Schemes. Pete has worked with the U.S. Attorney's Office and in conjunction with multiple branches of both Federal and State law enforcement. He has also investigated Medicare fraud, whistleblower actions, financial statement and securities fraud.
Pete holds a B.S. in Management from Binghamton University with magna cum laude distinction. He also has a M.S. in Accounting from Old Dominion University. His education has been supplemented by various continuing professional education courses offered by a variety of professional organizations.
