may close, and Pier 1
will likely wind down since it has not found a buyer. Even businesses that are
reorganizing may have done so in a manner that raises the ire of their
creditors and complicates the process. Lenders have sued Saks, claiming their
reorganization was a “shell game,” and Hertz paid executive
bonuses just days before filing for bankruptcy.
