Can your business survive and rebound from unexpected events?
Floods, storm damage, traffic boxes—today, resilient businesses need to be prepared to endure anything from a weekend of inconvenience to 500 year weather events. Perhaps a catastrophe destroyed your records, or repairs are taking longer than anticipated. Whether a claim is made to an insurance company, FEMA or a specialized recovery fund, business owners must be able to establish the full scope of their losses.
The professionals at Asterion are experienced in documenting business interruption claims in a wide range of circumstances, including losses incurred after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. If you have questions about how to support your claim, Asterion may be able to help.
Are you ready for the unintended consequences of greater accuracy in the healthcare industry?
As of October 1, the number of codes to describe illnesses and injuries was revised; instead of approximately 14,000 codes, there are now 68,000. Mistakes are bound to happen. (It has been reported that there are separate codes for being crushed by an alligator vs. a crocodile.) Providers have been given a one-year grace period to become adept at using the correct code. However, the likelihood of an increased number of rejected claims and a slow-down in payments has reportedly prompted some practices to take out short-term loans to keep cash flow even.
If your practice or institution is impacted by the new ICD-10, or other changes in the rapidly transforming health care sector, consider contacting Asterion’s healthcare valuation consultants.
