Balog will join Gregory Harris and Howard Cohen in Asterion’s Allentown office.
Ibolya (“Ibi”) Balog is a seasoned accountant and business consultant with over thirty-five years of experience, including serving as a senior manager of a large regional accounting firm, controller of a manufacturing company, and as a business consultant for a boutique consulting firm in the Lehigh Valley. In addition, she spent over ten years in higher education, first as Assistant Professor and then as Associate Professor with tenure at Cedar Crest College, including a stint as Department Chair for Business Management and Economics.
Balog earned her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University and has an MBA from Temple University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has been active with the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, serving on the editorial board of the CPA Journal, and previously serving as Chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics, Trustee of the Scholarship Trust, and President of the Lehigh Valley Chapter. She remains active in the local community including service as Treasurer of the Allentown Symphony Association, as a member of Friends of the Allentown Parks, and as TEDx Lehigh River Chair. Balog is active on the Allentown Public Art Committee and the Allentown District Foundation Finance Committee, and was President of the West Park Civic Association.
